Smart Agenda

The main challenge facing Hazi is the automation of the collection of information on events, events and days related to the food and forestry value chain and the revitalization of the rural and coastal environment of the Basque Country. Currently, the dispersion of information among the various organizing agents hinders its effective access and dissemination, which creates problems such as overlapping events and reduced participation by stakeholders. In addition, once the information has been collected, efficient classification and categorization are required to make it exploitable and viewable in a common repository, facilitating the creation of an intelligent agenda that optimizes the dissemination and organization of future events
WhiteBox has developed a comprehensive system that automates the periodic collection of events from the rural ecosystem of the Basque Country from various web pages, using advanced web scraping techniques. This system not only stores the events collected, but work has also been done to create an ontology to classify and categorize events in different areas, using large language models (LLMs) to ensure accurate and automated classification. In this way, Hazi has an updated and organized database, which facilitates the management and dissemination of relevant events by all the agents that make up its ecosystem.
Automating the event collection process reduces the time needed to centralize information, allowing Hazi to disclose events more quickly and efficiently. By minimizing manual intervention, the risk of errors in the classification of events is reduced, ensuring that information is always well organized and accessible. This improves the dissemination of events and facilitates the participation of industry agents. In addition, this solution positions Hazi as a more agile and efficient entity in managing events within the rural and coastal sector.
